CraneBolts is a brand name, not a category limit. The hardware secures fasteners on anything installed above people or production equipment. Cranes are one application. Wind turbines, offshore structures, elevated platforms, conveyor systems and aerospace facilities are others, and the failure mode is identical in all of them: a fastener backs out under vibration or load cycling, leaves the joint, and falls.
One failure mode, many structures
Bolted joints self-loosen. Transverse vibration, thermal cycling, shock loading and duty cycles all work a fastener out of its preload over time. Standard hardware gives no warning before it goes. That behavior does not care what the fastener is holding together.
Our patent-pending tethered fasteners anchor an engineered tether to the surrounding structure. When the joint loosens, the fastener hangs at height instead of entering free fall. The bolt still works as a bolt. The tether is the second line of defense, and a hanging tether is a visible finding a technician can log before anything hits the ground.

Where this fits in a drops program
Most dropped object prevention programs tether tools thoroughly and installed hardware not at all. ANSI/ISEA 121 covers tool attachments, anchor attachments, tethers and containers, which means a site can be fully compliant on tool tethering and still have thousands of untethered fasteners overhead. That gap is the same on a turbine as it is on a crane.
