Tethered Fasteners for Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast

CraneBolts is based in Manvel, Texas, in the greater Houston area. We design and manufacture patent-pending tethered safety bolts in the USA, made to order per specification. If you run equipment or structures with hardware above people anywhere along the Texas Gulf Coast, it is built close to where it works.

A Texas bolt manufacturer in the Houston metro

The Houston Ship Channel and the Gulf Coast petrochemical corridor run on heavy industrial infrastructure. Refineries, chemical plants, terminals, marine and offshore fabrication yards, steel mills, wind installations and heavy manufacturing all depend on structures and equipment held together by fasteners that vibrate, cycle and eventually back out.

A backed-out fastener at height is a dropped object. Roughly 250 U.S. workers are killed by falling objects each year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Our engineered tether keeps a loosened fastener captive at height instead of in free fall. That is the whole idea, and it is covered in more detail on our dropped object prevention page.

Built for Gulf Coast conditions

Gulf Coast humidity and salt air are hard on hardware. Finish selection matters here more than it does inland, and the wrong finish shortens service life on equipment that is already working in a corrosive environment. We match thread size, length, grade and finish to the OEM hardware already installed. Nothing is redesigned around our part. Minimum order quantities apply per size and finish, and lead time is quoted with the order.

Installation uses standard tools and standard torque procedures. Millwrights, crane technicians and structural crews do not need new training, new tooling or a new procedure to put these in.

How to buy from a bolt supplier in Houston

  1. Send the specification: thread size, length, grade, finish and quantity, or the OEM part you are replacing.
  2. We confirm the build against minimum order quantity for that size and finish, and quote lead time with the order.
  3. The order is placed and fulfilled through an authorized distributor. CraneBolts does not compete with distributors for end-user business.
  4. Parts arrive matched to existing hardware and install with standard tools and standard torque procedures.

Non-standard requirements are routine. See custom fastener manufacturing for how made-to-order runs are handled, or browse applications by structure. Distributors serving the Houston market and the wider Gulf Coast can apply to carry the line.
