The Safety Wire Bolts Tethered Safety Bolt is a patent-pending fastener engineered for dropped object prevention. A captive tether retains the bolt to the assembly, so if vibration or load cycling backs the fastener out, it stays with the equipment instead of falling to the deck below.
Retention is built into the fastener. This is not field-applied lockwire or an aftermarket lanyard — the tether is part of the bolt. The qualifying condition is simple: if a fastener sits above people or above production equipment, it is a candidate.
